It has been so long since I updated but that's because there hasn't been a great deal of progress. Just before Christmas the lounge was given a spruce up with a lick of paint and then we had the floor sanded and refinished. It is so much lighter and less shiney now. We also had the hall floor sanded and refinished at the same time. I have eventually ordered the stairs and landing carpet so that should be fitted in the next week or two.
We have also had planning approved for a 2 story extension. This will mean making the master bedroom bigger and enlarging the dining room which will become a kitchen / diner with small snug area. The current kitchen will become the formal dining room. Work is due to start in July and should take about 10 weeks although that is only the basic building work. The kitchen will hopefully be hand built and that takes about 10 weeks. At the same time we will have french doors fitted to the family room and the parquet floor totally refurbished and it is in very poor condiiton.
